Privacy
There is no account here, so there is not much to collect. This page is short because the list is short — not because we're leaving anything out.
Your wallet
Signing in means signing a message with your wallet — no password, no email required. That gives us your public address, which is already visible to anyone on BaseScan the moment you make a deal. We store it to know which deals are yours and to keep you signed in; we never see your seed phrase or private key, and we cannot spend from your wallet.
Connecting also talks to WalletConnect/RainbowKit, the library that shows the connect modal. Depending on how you connect, that exchange can reach their infrastructure or your wallet app directly — we don't control that hop, only what happens after you land back on OakGavel.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages get used, in aggregate — not to build a profile of any one visitor. It sets its own cookies and can read the usual browser signals (roughly what page you came from, your device type). We don't combine it with your wallet address or anything you type into a deal.
What we don't do
- No AI reads your data. Nothing you send through a deal — messages, delivery links, reviews — is processed by any AI model. It sits in our database and is shown to the two people in that deal, plain and simple.
- No file uploads. There is nowhere on OakGavel to upload a file, so there is no storage bucket holding one, public or otherwise. Delivery is a link you paste, hosted wherever you already host your work.
- No selling your data. We don't sell or rent what we collect to anyone.
Deal messages and reviews
The chat inside a deal is only visible to the buyer and the seller on that deal, plus us if we need to step in on a dispute. Reviews are attached to the wallet that left them and are public by design — the same way a review on any marketplace is.
